Try thinking punctuation. It's a little hard to read code these days. From what I gather you installed another cpu without thermal paste? If you did, that's a reason for it shutting itself down. Heat is a major issue in laptops and if it didn't shut itself down in time, you may have fried it.

Sorry will try and explain better.
My laptop has shut itself down and now freezes on start-up. If I leave it to get very cold gets as far as desktop wallpaper and loads start-up programmes but then freezes. When i try to start again it gets to the Acer screen then freezes, but I am unable to start bios. The next time i try nothing happens but I can hear the fan for a few seconds then it stops but if i wait an hour or longer it may start as far as the windows xp screen but then stops. I have tried changing the memory card with a known working one but it is the same, I have also tried changing cpu but forgot to use thermal paste but it loaded to desktop and froze again. I cant guarantee the cpu as got it off ebay. I tried again using artic silver 5 to connect the cpu to the heatsink but the same thing happens as with the previous cpu. The heatsink does not even feel hot to the touch now, so I am thinking it could be the motherboard or should I try another cpu first..
