March 30, 2020 at 09:36:24
Specs: Windows 10
My LAN port doesn't lightup as it usually does, when we start the pc.
once i Installed my GPU, the LAN port seems to have stopped working.
The colourful lights are not turning on and PC says "Network cable is unplugged".
There are no ethernet cable lights in the MODEM end also.

Make and model of computer will be useful...

Presumably you installed a new graphics card?

Is the network card also a plug in card?

What make is that?

Have you tried another ethernet cable?

Do things work OK if you remove the GPU/video card and run it as before? If so it may be an IRQ conflict.

Certainly on the list of possible if the answer is yes to a plugin graphics card, and there was no problem prior to that.

Also in which slot is the new card located?
