lack of USB boot option in Acer laptop BIOS

USB boot. My Acer Aspire 1804 doesn't have a USB boot selection . How can I make it boot from a USB>Flash drive?
The Bios shows HD boot, OD boot and USB, but when I press F12 at bootup it only shows HD and OD no USB.

Older system's don't support USB boot. But if it's an option in the BIOS, change the boot order in the BIOS, not by pressing F12.

Changing the Bios Boot order doesn't work. Thats why I stated the F12 selection only show two options.
Thanks all the same.

Have you enabled the usb boot option?

Select usb in the BIOS, then you should be able to enable. It is probably disabled to speed up boot time.

A thank you would be nice, if I have helped.

It's not disabled. Got to admit in over 30 years of playing with computers the only drive I knew of that could be disabled in the Bios was the floppy. USB, don't think so.
