Kingston usb not detected can you help?

Specs: Windows Vista
My usb has been working fine but one day I saw a light which appears as though something is blown up from inside the usb. Since then the usb is not detected on any machine. I have a lot of data on the stick therefore need to read and recover the data.

It seems the drive has been corrupted, Did you remember to 'Safely Remove"?
Recurva may allow you to recover your data.

@wizard-fred
Yes I tried all the best ways possible to remove safely, tried stopping the stick before pulling out etc.
Another USB of the same make works ok. So I thought the usb driver is not the problem. It appears that something is blown up from inside the stick.
How can I get Recurva?
Thanks a lot
