Solved keyboard won't let me type same key twice in a row

Specs: Windows XP
My keyboard will not allow me tp type the same key twice in a row, I have to type another key before it will allow me to use the same one again. it isn't my keyboard because I bought a new one and it did the same thing.

Boot to a live cd and see if it happens there also.

Hang up and live.

I presume these are USB keyboards and NOT wireless?

Yep, I've tried all of my usb ports as well, I've also tried a new keyboard in each port

you may have to try an sfc /scannow to check your windows files.

I was able to figure it out last night with the help of a friend. Some how my sticky keys got switched so it wouldn't allow me to hit a duplicate key. Thank you for all of help.
