Keyboard problem

Specs: Windows XP
My keyboard keys 1,q,a,z arent working.
How do i unlock them.
Please help as soon as possible.

Probably a bad keyboard. What happens when you try a different one?

Actually i havent tried using a new one..

I guess this problem started when i pressed ctrl+shift+a together in MS Word. not sure.

I agree with Dave, that it's probably a bad keyboard. Borrow a friend's to make sure.

It doesn't seem likely a particular key sequence would cause that. Most keyboard have mylar (plastic) sheets with conductive circuit lines drawn on them connecting the keys. If one of the circuit lines break it can affect several keys, usually ones close together. The fact that your 1, Q, A, Z don't work--the left-most column--would indicate that's the problem.
