Specs: Windows XP
after installing norton security my keyboard no longer works, (and i have tried several, both USB and P/2
the keyboard lights up, but no typing is possible
I have tried registry edits, removing all kbdclass except main folders, leaving just default, I have tried deleting kbdclass.sys, with no luck, when i try to reinstall it says the files are already there and it cannot install, or just gives the error 10, cannot start

does anyone have any ideas that i can try?

Uninstall's garbage anyway. See if that restores your keyboard.

There's no reason to be poking around in the registry and/or deleting system files. You're only going to make things worse (if you haven't already).

Was this a legal copy of Norton or something you downloaded online? If it was a download, did you scan it for viruses before installing it?
