Issues with old Chromecast

Specs: windows 10
in the past it was fine.

now it takes more than 10 seconds for a video from youtube to be played well.

in the ten seconds time it's pauses and playing again and again

I don't think it has anything to do with your Chromecast device.

It sounds like your internet speed may have dropped considerably so check your bandwidth with a speed checker.

ok. but listen... the problem is only in the first seconds.

That 14.63 Mbps is distributed between all the devices on your network. If you can try turning off all the other devices then try your videos again. You might also try a video feed from another source than Youtube and see if it works better. Also, remove the power from your Chromecast dongle and your router for about 10 seconds, then plug them back in.

You can install a wifi analyzer on your phone and hold your phone next to where your chromecast is plugged into your TV. This will give you an idea about how strong the signal is where your chromecast is. Also you may want to upgrade your router to a AC 5GHz router. I upgraded my router and my chromecast never had any network problems after that.

The first generation of Chromecast only uses the 2.4GHz band only so updating to a new router probably won't do anything for you.
