Is the fan on my Hp Pavilion G6 laptop shot?

Specs: Windows Vista, AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 dual-core processor
Using Open Hardware Monitor and SpeedFan

Laptop : Hp Pavilion G6
Looking at the output of the programs, I do not see and fans listed for the laptop

I see everything else but no fans.

The core temperature spikes +90C if I do anything.

It seems like there is no fan operating to cool the processor down.

Do you think the fan is shot?

Can you hear "any" fan noise at all?

Have you checked to see if "all" ventilation ports/ are free of dust. Surprising just how much fluff etc. can accumulate in there over time... Blow them out with a can of compressed air...

Not at all familiar with this:

Using Open Hardware Monitor and SpeedFan

What is it - a built-in (hp supplied) utility, or an add-in software item you have installed?

I do not hear any fan noise. Yes the vents were blown out.

The 2 program are free program used to monitor you hardware to help determine problems.

In my case I see that my cpu are really heating up quickly but slowing cooling down.
