Is my Acer x3200 desktop dead completely?

June 30, 2013 at 11:44:47
Specs: Windows 7
Water got sprayed on it. I tested the power supply by shorting the fan. The fan worked. So, I figured it was the mobo. I bought a new mobo. Still didn't work. I bought a new power supply. Still doesn't work. I checked the switch and power cord with a meter both work. All connections are connected and look good. I even tried turning it on with the front cover off. still dead.

All the testing should be done on cardboard box and not inside the system case, at this point only PSU, RAM, CPU + heatsink, monitor & a keyboard should be connected.
Do u hear any beep(s) or fans spinning when u push the power button?
Did u correct apply the thermal paste? It should be applied like this http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/full...
What is the name (model number) of PSU unit did u purchase?
The board has onboard speaker, try to start the system without RAM.
No beep(s) = CPU or board or both of them are bad.

Computer remains completely dead. I checked the switch..again. It activates correctly.
However, no fan, no power light, nothing happens..stone cold dead.

The mobo is correct and the power supply.

almost looks like it would have been cheaper to buy a new PC, don't you think?

As a policy NO. Best to use probability and logic to determine most agreeable solution. The most agreeable conclusion and most probable outcome was that the power supply or the mobo would have fixed the problem.

At this point, in time, it is just irrational, illogical , ignorant and rude to make such a statement.
Smart ass is close to jack ass.

Sorry if the reality upsets you. I guess in my case, it would have been simpler and money saving to do what i mentioned, it was not a statement to belittle you by any means. My apologies.
