Specs: Windows 7
is it possible to verify if a laptop fan is working after removing it?
I am not sure if my fan is stucking because of dust ot it is not working anymore!!
I d'ont have time to install any software to chech because my cpu will heat!

Don't worry u can't fry your chip because of overheating. Turn on the system and check at the bottom if the fan is rotating or simply enter bios and check RPM inside System Health or similar.
The fan can be easily fixed

Yeah... feel it.

You should always clean your fan once in awhile.. once a month if you want... If the fan on your cpu doesn't work, basically your laptop will keep shut-downing and it will tell you that its overheating.

"Don't have time" the time you used to post this, is enough time to download the software.

thx guys for ur valubale answeres! I will try theese solutions... but in both case I will need to open my DELL 1558 (I have neve done it befor!) either to clean or to change my fan! btw is it easy to find a similar FAN? I am not under waranty anymore!

Obtain service manual or find a video on youtube.
I posted a link on how to repair a fan, i tried myself and it is really working.
I failed to ask earlier about CPU temperature, better check it in BIOS.
