EDO will be a SIMM

It would most likely be a SIMM. EDO was available in DIMM format as well.

EDO can be either SIMMs or DIMMs. The obvious difference between the two is size...EDO SIMMS have 72-pins & generally need to be installed in pairs. EDO DIMMs have 168-pins. There's usually a label on the RAM that will tell you whether it's EDO or FPM...if not, you'll have to try googling the model number on one of the chips.
