Is Biostar mcp6p m2 + compatible with OCZ?

Biostar / Mcp6p m2+
December 21, 2010 at 12:09:28
Specs: Windows 7 64-bit, AMD athlon II 245 / OCZ2G8002g Gold edition
PC details:
Processor: Dual Core AMD athlon II X2 245, 2900 MHZ (14,5 x 200)
MotherBoard: Biostar MCP6P M2+
Memory: 2x OCZ2G8002G PC26400 Gold Series (im using just one at the moment)
Hard Drive: WDC WD50 00AAKS-00UU3 SCSI DISK DEVICE (500gb)
Graphic Adapter: NVIDIA GEFORCE 9400 GT(1gb vram)

It´s been a short while since I started getting various BSOD with different messages (Service System, DRIVER IRQL,etc) a few days ago I tried running the pc with just one stick, on both slots and it wokrs just fine.
My doubt is if biostar is compatible (in which case I would have to change de memory sticks) or if there is anyway I could do to make them work together (like changing voltage).

PS: sorry for my english and any mistake I could have make...

OCZ isn't listed on the compatibility list, but if it's worked up until this point, that's not the problem. As long as they're a matched set, it shouldn't be a problem.

First of all, thanks for posting...

It´s quite random, but when I run it with both RAMs I get BSOD, it can take seconds or hours, I also had the theory that the Graphic driver might have something to do...
I will try to use the pc with just one memory stick a while longer...
But i just tryed using both sticks separately and all worked fine(a bit slower maybe :P) then, i tryed with both of them, and 10 minutes after i get another BSOD!!

I found on the OCZ forum that changing the voltages might help, but I wasn´t able to find the CAS latency option (im too noob at this) so i think I will see if a trade my OCZ with a friend or something, change mobo or buy a 4gb stick...

Thanks again!

yesterday I run the pc with the 2 memory sticks and anger made me enter setup change random options and voltages (i don´t actually remember what I changed) but it was those DRAM options like TRC TRDC TRAS etc... then I some "memory buffer option" I think and maybe anything else...

so far it´s working so I´ll try to remember what I actually did so in case anyone has the same problem might find helpful this thread... but it was mainly de DRAM Bus Clocks and the Voltage (I changed it from 1.8 to 2.1)

again, thanks for yuor help and sorry for my english...
Feliz Navidad para todos!
