There used to be a special device available on tigerdirect but I dont think that they still sell it. Basically it put your internet connection on hold for up to 255 seconds so you wouldn't miss any calls. Then you could click back and the Dial up internet would still be active. You couldn't browse the internet and talk on the phone at the same time. What would probably work better is call forwarding to your cell or get DSL (which probably isnt available to you). Good Luck.
You'll need a V.92 modem and call waiting as provided by your phone company. All newer modems are going to be V.92 so you shouldn't have a problem finding one. Other necessary software should be on the modem installation disk.
