We have a router which had been sufficient, but now having trouble. My telephone breaks up when talking, son keeps getting kicked of his game and sometimes can't connect to internet. Problem has been looked at and they we need to get an internet switch. Router can't handle all the things we have hooked up. Will this solve the problem?

"Router can't handle all the things we have hooked up."

Nonsense. A router is a switch with the extra ability to connect two different networks. You don't need anything different. As ace omega has told you in both your posts, change the channel on your wireless router, it may be interfering with your cordless phone. Whoever looked into your problem and told you you need a switch doesn't have the slightest idea what they are talking about.

If changing the channel doesn't work then I would replace the ADSL filters on your telephone line. They do fail and will cause interference between Internet and telephone.

No idea what an Internet switch is. Never heard of such a thing. A network switch yes. But they have nothing to do with the Internet. Network switches have been around long before most people had heard of the Internet.
