Presume your second hard drive is a separate physical disk and not just a partition on your primary disk. Option 1. The drive has failed. Option 2 The IDE/SATA cable has failed or become dislodged Option 3. The power cable to this disk has become dislodged Option 4. The disk controller on the motherboard has failed.
check the cables. Boot up into BIOS. Is the disk detected ? Swithc cables/controllers and see if it can be detected. ( take usual precautions when working inside the case. eg antistatic strap, disconnect power when making any changes.
