Hi people, im having major trouble playing compatible games on my PC. They've worked before in the past but now they just keep freezing for several seconds on a regular basis, i have absolutely no idea why. All games are well within my PC's capabilities. I may seem to be clutching at straws here but could my graphics card DAC Type (Intergrated RAMDAC) have anything to do with this problem??

Thanks

"Your igp is fine"

I don't see an IGP mentioned but I dug up the 4600 specs. If you're using the 865G / Extreme Graphics 2 IGP for gaming, that's your problem. Get yourself an AGP card.

I thought like that because he didn't mention v-card name plus many people call "igp" video card.

The games im trying to play are half life2, dues ex2, mafia, and max payne2. They've all worked fine in the past (~2yrs ago) but now they dont. The graphics card i have is a 128MB NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200.
