Intel Matrix verifying and repairing errors

December 10, 2010 at 04:03:50
Specs: Windows 2003 SBS Server SP2, 4GB Crucial ECC
I have a windows 2003 SBS, Intel Entry Level Motherboard, 2 1TB HD's Mirrored. I had a dirty shutdown and when it came back up, it started the Intel matrix verifying and repairing process. I thought it was fine, but it finds between 1 and 5 errors and the restarts the verifying and repairing process over again. It's probably on the 6th or 7th round. I know I can right click on the volume and cancel it, but is that a good idea? Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Thanks,

John

Start here. http://www.intel.com/design/chipset...

Some issue with the raid. You need to find out how to diag it with intel tools or maybe live cd or other ways to work on the array first before you loose all the data.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

can you elaborate a little more on what tools I should use for a diag? And can I cancel the verify and repair without doing any harm?

This is a little weird, watched it last night and it completed without an error, and then restarted and found 2 errors. Anybody have any ideas? Desperate for some help

Thanks in advance,

John
