installing vedio card. need help.

Specs: Windows Vista
hmm.. my old vedio card burt out so i bought a new one and i've put in in my computer and when i turn my computer on nothing will come up on the screen for me to install it, it just stays blank.(black screen)

Does it have a power connector and is it plugged in?

Have you tried using another power supply connector? Was the screen black using the old card? Can you see anything at startup so you can enter the bios?

How about listing your system specs?

And what makes you think the old video card burned out? Seeing as how the new card doesn't work either, maybe something else is the problem.

what makes me think my old card burnt out is the fact that 3 of the cylinders on it are busted,
so yes my screen was black and now i put the new one in and conected all back up bought a new cord to connect it to the monitor and still does not pull up the screen so i can install the new card,
