will not boot. I am not getting any signal to the monitor. I have check to insure the mother board will accept the additional 2 512MB sticks. They are compatible and I have check that they are properly inserted. Did I fry something? Older computer that had 256MB. Intel D845WN mother board. PC133 SDRAM. Any suggestions? Computer starts, fans run but that is it. I tried starting the computer without the RAM in and it beeped 3 time???
Of course the system will beep with no RAM installed. Did you try the 256MB stick again to see if the system will still boot? Did you try the 512MB sticks one at a time to see if one or the other will allow the system to boot? You didn't bother to mention the brand name of the new RAM...that's usually not a good sign. eBay?
