install or run software from disc

Microsoft Windows vista business w/ sp1...

Specs: Windows Vista (virtual partition on Mac laptop)
I am running Vista natively on Mac and endeavouring to install software from CD, however the CD/DV drive doesn't show up in Explorer and doesn't autorun. Device manager recognises the CD/DV device and says drivers are up to date. I would have expected to see e.g. "D:" drive listed in Explorer. Have tried various software discs but NONE run. I have set "use autoplay for all media and devices". I have previously added other software successfully via disc. Trying to load MS Office.

"I am running Vista natively on Mac", so you are not running Mac OS at all? No Virtual Machines correct?

Sounds like you need to find an SCSI driver for Windows that supports your MAC. I am assuming you are using SCSI CD/DVD ROM because most Macs use SCSI drives but if it is SATA then it should work. Find out what kind of drive controller, Make and Model you are using for the Mac and Google it for drivers.
