Solved inspiron m5030 asks me to reboot

Specs: Linux
Every time I time I turn on my laptop this message appears 'reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key' what do I do?

You can go into cmos/bios setup (probably F1 or F2 after turning it on) and see if it even shows a hard drive is present. If so make sure it is enabled in the boot order. But yeah, usually that message means the hard drive is dead.

Sounds like your HDD has given up the ghost. Enter the BIOS & see if the drive is still being recognized.

Simple English: Your hard drive has failed & will have to be replaced.

Hopefully you have backup copies of all your important photos, word docs, etc. because you have most likely lost everything.
