Hi. Will a color LASER printer printing color at 600x600 dpi print a better picture compared to an INKJET printer that prints color at 4800x1200 dpi? Thanks.

It may. It depends on what paper you are using.

Inkjet printers spray ink onto paper. It can soak into the paper and give a blurred appearance. Laser printers lay a dry toner on the paper.

As Dan said, ink can soak into the paper leaving less than desirable results.
However if you use photo quality paper made for producing pictures the results will be much better than a laser printer.

Many stores have these setup to test. Just press a button or you can view samples. That is the best way to test.

I doubt the laser would provide better photo-like prints. dpi is still king here.

An ink-jet will good quality photo paper will give you the best print quality you can get. Comparable with commercial output. But photo quality paper isn't cheap. If you print with an ink-jet with paper designed for a laser you will get what you pay for,

For reasonable quality on cheaper paper a laser with be better than an ink-jet with cheap paper..

Color laser jet replacement toners and cartridges tend to cost way more than inkjet.

They both tend to get you on the supplies.
