Specs: Windows 7
hp pavilion hangs trying to boot up
its on windows 7 but it won't start windows up.
It won't respond to any buttons it just hangs

Will it go into safe-mode? Press F8 to see boot options and select safe-mode.

Further to #1. You might have to keep tapping F8 key after starting computer, until the menu arrives.

F8 may also offer you the option of "Last Known Good Configuration", this may be the best option to roll back many issues like yours.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
