Increasing volume

Specs: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, 2.1 GHz / 2813 MB
I have tried everything to increase the volume on this computer. I am not able to hear movies etc.
what else can I do?

Make sure the volume is max in control panel, start>control panel>sound and audio device>sound and audio propertie appears click volume tab "untick mute" and move the volume to "high" apply then ok, if u didn't hear anything try to use headphones/earphones or external speakers, if the problem still there u need to reinstall audio driver.

If u don't have audio driver, look the name of the laptop eg. Toshiba satellite L505D-S5963, u only mention L505D-XXXXX.

thanks-called Toshiba Tech Support-He helped me install driver
(Realtek). Seems fine now
