Specs: Windows XP
I wonder if anyone has info about putting a larger power supply into my computer. At the moment it has 460W and I would like to put in around 750w. If possible how does one go about it, the buying and installing ?.

A very simple answer would be to get a power supply that has exactly the same pins and types of connectors that you are using now. For example if your's has a 20 pin then most newer one's have 20 pin. Check each pin's color, very rarely they are different.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Why do you think you need a 750W PSU?

Thank you all for your replies. I have a 24 pin connector and 6 pin motherboard supply, the model of supply is CompaqWTX460. I need to install an uprated power supply because a updated graphics card will not run on the power installed. I keep getting a black screen and a frozen computer but still have sound. I tried the card (ATI Radeon HD3650 AGP) in a friends computer with 500w pack and it works and put his card in mine (GeForceTi4600) which also works. So we assume that that was the problem.
