Not sure I am clear about what you are asking.

You can record them from the stereo onto the computer one by one and save them
as mp3's if that's what you mean. You would need appropriate software. I use "HarddiskOgg" (free), see here:

With this you can record anything that is playing on your computer.

You would need to couple your stereo to your computer using whatever output is provided on the stereo for this purpose. You then need to switch your computer to the input you are using.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking but you cannot connect your laptop (or tablet) to your tower, then use the laptop (or tablet) screen as a monitor.

You can't directly use the laptop or tablet screen but you could setup something like a RDP or VPN connection between your tablet/laptop and your computer.

I use Splashtop to connect my iPad to my music server and control it.
