I'm having trouble with my IBM SELECTRIC III TYPEWRITER

October 12, 2013 at 20:02:53
Specs: Windows 7
I know most of you won't know what I'm talking about with my 'antique' typewriter, but I still need it sometimes and can't bear to let it go. The post that the element sits on doesn't retract to print the correct letter. I believe it is a spring that has come free and need to see an exploded view to repair it.
I feel sure there is someone out there that still has an IBM SELECTRIC CORRECTING TYPEWRITER and can help me.

On a guess there are few people that still have on about.

you might look at this adjustment manual to see if it has the correct diagram. On a short note it may only be for the second series, however according to what came up with a search they were very similar
