Canon mg3220 cannot connect. I am getting a message that my computer cannot connect to my printer. I have tried repeatedly. Printer is plugged in and turns on when manual button is pushed (normally turns itself on when print command is clicked). I have checked that the USB cord is plugged into both the printer and the computer and that it is tight. I upgraded my computer from Win8.1 (prior Win8) to Win10 (upgrade went flawlessly) about 5-6 weeks ago but the printer has worked fine as recently as two nights ago. My set up is a desktop and does not get moved around. Printer and computer are two years old.
Try going to the Canon website and download/install new drivers. http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consu...

The new printer driver worked. I don't understand why the printer stopped working in the first place. I had about convinced myself that it was the USB cable. Thankyou - I didn't consider that it could be a driver problem. Thanx to dcutl002.
