I-INC IH252 monitor goes out

I-inc / Ih252

Specs: Windows XP
I-INC IH252 monitor goes out after a few seconds but the green power light is still on. I bought one of those so called repair kits for the capacitors but I don't see any capacitors blown. You don't have time to turn on the menu screen cuz the monitor goes black so fast. So I don't see how to do a factory reset without a display. Contacted the company for new boards but they never replied. I hate to throw away a 25 inch monitor so I need help.

Are you sure the monitor is receiving a signal? Did you try the I-INC on a different PC or try a different monitor on the PC?

I'm not Steveski but I'm having the exact same issue with the same monitor and yes, I tried on a different PC and same thing (works fine for about 3 seconds).

I am also having the exact issues with this monitor. Did any of you find a reasonable solution?

From the little research I've done this seems to be a common fault with these monitors and replacing the capacitors may not resolve the issue because the problem is in the inverter circuit. replacement of the entire controlboard is required. Repair by a qualified technician may be possible but would probably cost as much as a new monitor.

Thank you Richard59. I sent it to Bestbuy Geek Squad and they told me that they could not get the parts to fix it. So what do I do now ? Someone mentioned about reporting it to the better business bureau. Did anyone get a response ?

I have read enough reviews from this site and others that I have decided to cut my losses and buy a new (different brand) monitor. So, my 27" I-Inc has been sitting on the floor for 5 weeks. Can I get any cash out of this thing, spare parts, etc, or should I just drop it in the trash?
