The Dimension supports up to 2GB (1 x 2GB) of DDR400. Whether it's worth investing in an outdated machine running WinXP is up to you. Try to find used RAM rather than buying new.

Look In task manager first to get some idea whether RAM is a bottleneck. Sometimes it can turn out to be the CPU so adding RAM makes little difference.

Put very crudely, if the RAM is less than 50% used from bootup you probably don't really need to worry unless you run very RAM intensive programs.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
