Identify China netbook Ei1002 hardware

STUCK !

I have an odd-ball brand Netbook.

It has "UMPC" on the back.

It is RoHS Compliant

Under the lid, on the palm-rest is "Mini PC Ei1002"

I have found virtually NOTHING about this make or model on the web...only the company that exports it.

I think it may be resold under other names.

Regardless, I had to reload XP Home and have no idea about the components (in order to get the drivers).

Fortunately, XP ID'ed the network card...so it can access the internet....but sound, proper video, etc., no go.

Is anyone familiar with this make, and where the drivers can be downloaded?

Thanks very much.

Download HWINFO32, it will list your hardware, seems to be based around an ATOM CPU / Intel Chipset:

http://www.hwinfo.com

Seems it is made by ?? :

UMPC = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra-...

x86

Thanks VERY MUCH for that tip.

The Utility works like a charm.....definitely a must have for the "tool box".....I guess I should have....but was not aware of this program.

It's way better than Belarc (for ID'ing hardware)....Belarc seems to get its HW info from the installed drivers (not the hw itself)....which is useless if you are needing to know the info in order to GET the drivers to begin with.

This utility listed everything, down to the BRAND of memory.
