Ideal configuration of a home computer advice

Specs: Windows 24.09.2009
I use it for sending mail and receiving, little sufing. Need fast one, will not store large data and good dvd/cd writer

You could use a an old 386 for emailing and a little surfing. Why do you think you need a fast computer?

Plus if you "will not store large data" then there's not much reason for a "good dvd/cd writer"

For that I'd buy about the cheapest thing I could try that has xp or above. Either the OS should be loaded or re-loaded from OEM to be sure it is as fast as it should be.

I don't know if I'd quite go back to a 386. At least a pentium2 500 mhz.
