IBM Thinkpad T40 Screen Problem

May 4, 2010 at 19:18:26
Specs: Windows XP
I've had my laptop for about 5 years now and about a year ago the power connecter too the back was getting loose but the screen was fine and there was no prooblem, but later on my screen would go black and if i bumbed it a bit it would com back up but would be ether frozen or the screen would have random pixles with colores. If it went black the only way to get it back I would have to reboot TWICE the first time the screen woulden't even turn on and the second time it would start normaly.

What i've done
I've powered it on and then wiggled the power cord and the screen was fine so I think that it is a problem with the connection to the moniter.
