Consider a new machine.

I bet you could've added a third floor to your house for what you paid for 2GB of 1066 Rambus... :-o

If it doesn't have a decent video card, you could grab an AGP Radeon x1950 Pro. TigerD usually sells them for $65. Avoid the Radeon HD 2/3/4K cards--too many driver issues with most machines. AMD pretty much dropped AGP after the x1950 series of cards. Your processor and AGP 4X bus would bottleneck an HD 3850 or 4670 anyway.

There are actually simple ways on how you can have a speedypc. For instance, you can use Disk Cleanup to free up space on your hard disk. Doing so may improve the speed and performance of your computer. Anyway, you can use Disk Cleanup to get rid of temporary Internet files, empty the recycle bin, remove downloaded program files like Java applets and Microsoft ActiveX controls, remove unnecessary programs, delete error reports, and remove unused restore points.
