how to replace a GDN7X DIMM,2G I need help with doing this can anyone explain how to replace this part in my computer XPS 8500. My computer detected something was wrong and a window came up and said order this part and it was sent to me a few day later no charge still under warranty

The item you have is a memory module. You probably have two of them and need to identify which is the faulty one. The only way to do that is by elimination.

How you replace it is dependant on whether you have a desktop of a laptop.

If you have never fitted a memory module before I would get some advice from somebody that know what they are doing as it is very easy to turn a minor problem into a serious one.
