Specs: Windows 7, 2.8Ghz/2GB
can anyone tell me how to turn on the power supply Delta DPS-250LB after i removed it from the server.?
I connected the main, and PsOn to ON/OFF switch to Ground, PWOK to +5V, turn on the main, there is no reading on any of the 5V,12V,3.3V output pin.

May i know if i have done something wrong?

Are you trying to do the 'paperclip' test to benchtest a PSU not connected to the motherboard?

Some of the Dell PSUs are proprietary. I'm not sure if yours is or not. But anyway, at least with a regular ATX power supply, you just need to jumper the green 'power on' wire at pin 14 to any one of the black ground wires:

Thank you all for responding. DPS 250LB is a server power supply, not propreitary to Dell, is manufactured by Delta Electronics.
I have 10 units of these spare power supply that i wanted to use it for other gadget.

The power supply is a slot in type with slot in pins indicating PSON, PWOK, +5V , +12V.

in order to turn on the unit, i need to pull the PSON pin to ground and maintain PWOK pin at +5V, as i have read in some other forum. I did according to what i read but not able to get the power output. so i am blocked.
