I just bought a (XFX) ATI RADEON HD4650 and I

Microsoft Windows 7 home premium

Specs: Windows 7, Intel Core 2 Duo
have some questions. I opened my computer to install the new card, and I saw on the internet some people saying they connected theirs to their power supply. I didn't. I just put mine into the PCI Express slot and it is working fine now. Did I miss something? Or is it not supposed to be connected to the Power supply?

The HD 4650 doesn't require a power supply connection.

On the box it says:
"-400 Watt or greater power supply is recommended."

BTW, my ATI graphics is a HD Radeon 4650 manufactured by XFX. It is 1GB DDR2.

Thanks for replying fast.

400w is not only for the card, it's for the whole system. Even with 300w psu u can run hd 4650(it use less than 60w underload).
