Do you mean apps for XP (which is your quoted operating system)?

Whatever, apps or applications are a personal choice so it really depends on you.
What someone on here might love you could hate (and vice versa).

We have no idea what you need. And why do you want to pay for apps when there are usually freebies available that work just as well if not better?

I think the two responders have missed the point of the question. It seems the OP wants to invest some funds in development of new apps not in acquisition of existing apps. and since "apps" is a term generally used in association with iPhone and Android devices the operating system mentioned in Specs is irrelevant.

The OP seems to want to become a venture capitalist and wants someone to suggest ideas for the kind of apps to direct their capital into. If I had a good idea for an app, ( and I don't ) a public forum is the last place I would be discussing it.

Yep, #3 could be spot on.

However, it's the responsibility of the poster to ensure the question is clear.
The word development or even writing would have helped.

I agree with Richard59. It isn't clear what kind of apps. Sorry if I wasn't clear myself.

Yes, Richard has convinced me now too. I did at first wonder if it was a misplaced mobile phone question because folk don't usually abbreviate to "Apps" for computers. Might all change with Windows 8....
