I have an Asrock motherboard M266A with 512 M

I would like to upgrade my computer because some games need more graphics and memory. motherboard used is Asrock M266A, Ram DDR 512 Mb, VGA card Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 440 AGP8X. Kindly can you assist me?

Joe, you could upgrade your memory to 2 gigs. That would help quite a bit. I wouldn't put any more money into a system that old unless you just can't afford to get a newer machine. You can get a much better AGP graphics card, but you may need to upgrade your power supply too. Since you didn't list the psu specs, it's hard to tell. If you really want to pursue it, post back with all your system specs. You can find out your psu specs by removing the side cover and reading the label.

I agree with grasshopper. Your VIA based board is not a good one plus it's very outdated. If you can pick up some used memory & a decent used graphics card cheap (& I do mean cheap), it *may* be worth upgrading. If you have to install a power supply too, I'd think long & hard about it.
