You didn't answer your previous post about this problem, where I asked what operating system was on it.

That laptop usually comes with Windows 7, so has someone put Linux on it?

We can't offer any decent suggestions without knowing what is running on it.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Hi,

Can you be a bit more specific? When prompted for a disc, is it trying to boot into the OS? Type the exact message on screen so we can look into it a bit more.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply...the computer is telling you there is no bootloader available for it to start. It could simply mean that the drive has been erased or the hard drive has crashed rendering it unusable (but this is not necessarily the case).

You need to get a copy of either Windows XP (no longer supported by MS) or Windows 7 or even Ubuntu Linux 14.04 LTS (which is free), but you need to download it from Canonical (the Ubuntu Linux distributors) and make a bootable CD out of it and install it into your laptop (provided of course the computer has the hardware (mainly memory and hard disk space) to install the OS.

I hope this has given you some input as to what to do next.

Taylor, you may have accidently deleted the operating system if you were not familiar with running a PC. Unfortunately you bought win xp which is now unsupported by M$.
Without knowing your laptop specs it is really hard to give you a good valid solution.

On your specs it says you are running Linux? The only way to see if the laptop is compatible with win 7 is to run the win 7 compatibilty wizard which cannot be done if the laptop doesn't boot up.

If there is an XP label on the bottom and you can read the number, ypu may be able to borrow an XP installation CD from a friend or family...just be sure it is the same OS ...basic or pro...it will state that on the label.
