i dropped my Dell laptop and it won't boot up

Dell Studio 1737 notebook

Specs: Windows Vista, Studio 1737/ 4gb
My dogs were playing and knocked down my Dell Studio 1737 laptop (not once, but twice)! I heard a whirling, scrapping noise coming from within it.

Everything worked fine and I was able to shutdown properly. However later, I tried turning my laptop on and it took forever for the login screen to appear. Then it froze. I started getting all kinds of driver errors and a "apoint.exe" error.

Then I could not turn off the laptop unless I press and held the power button. Eventually (after several attempts) I was able to get to my Windows Vista screen, but to only receive a windows side bar error.

What gives? How can I fix this? Any help is appreciated!

It's probably damaged.
Unplug the AC adapter, remove the battery, and don't use the laptop, to prevent further damage.
Take it to a local place that repairs laptops that is authorized to work on your brand and have them analyze it.
If it's not worth fixing, the personal data on the hard drive that you don't want to lose can be copied to elsewhere if the drive is connected to another working computer.
