Specs: Windows Vista Ultimate, AMD 64 dual core
Need to down load sndvol.exe that disappeared the same time my sound stop working. I look in the system32 files with hidden files exposed and its not there. I have been looking for some place to down load this file.
I have a Acer 5535 lap top, 1.7 dual 64 cpu, running at 32, 1 gig mem, 180 gig HD. running Vista Ultimate as my OS.
The speaker icon found in the lower right hand corner is there but mark with a red X. When I try to activate it it trys to load "sndvol.exe-s" but its not in my system32 files. HELP PLEASE!
No My O.S. came self loaded and I DO NOT have a recovery disk. Can some one just forward the file to me at hotmail as a attachment please.

Reinstall the sound drivers is the easiest solution.

mike2507, You can download a zipped copy of sndvol32.exe in Repuly #3 in the thread at the link below. It's virus and malware free as I downloaded it, extracted it and scanned it. You'll need to extract it an place a copy of it into your C:\Windows\System32 folder.
