Realtek is a brand name for sound chips. There are literally hundreds of different ones.

Post some specs on your computer so we can help you find the correct drivers, if that is what is wrong.

Go into Device Manager and see if there are any references for Realtek.

You have rebooted I assume?

Describe what your father did and how.

How about performing a system restore to a time before the problem?

Go to Start menu> help and support> undo changes with system restore. Follow the prompts.

1)u 1st check is it on the
control panel->add or remove programms.
2)it is not there.
if u have that sound installer.
Install that one.
3)Sometimes it is there.But it was in mute mode.U check that also.
4)Right clck the my computer ->properties->device manager
Device manager showing all type of peripherals installed the system.
5)right click sound periferal Then update Then insert cd And install it.
