i was cleaning up my disc space and i deleted wordpad by accident and i have tried the controll panel but it wont work! and for the past 2 weeks ive been trying to get it back but i cant! plz help i have a repord worth 50% of my grade tomarrow!

... click "start" run (copy n paste) or (type)

C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe

... press ok ... does it pop-up?
... On the Windows XP install disc, look directory/folder "i386" look for an application named "write.exe".

... Copy to "C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\" directory and rename it to "wordpad.exe".

Mavis may have your solution if all you did was delete a shortcut icon.

Right now your easiest option is to download Open Office. You may be able to get Wordpad back but it may require that you restore your computer. I assume you don't want to do that right now. Get Open Office at the link below.

amany2010, Go to the link below and scroll down to line 308 (right column) and click on "Restore Wordpad.exe" to download a copy of Wordpad.exe. It belongs in your C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories folder
