If that's the second partition on the original hard drive brand name software installation it probably doesn't have any files in that folder.

You DO NOT mess with the individual \$Recycle.Bin folders (or the \Recycler folders in XP and 2000) on each hard drive partition ! They are normally hidden folders for a reason !
Using the Recycle Bin link will show you all the files, folders, and shortcuts that have been deleted on ALL of the computer's hard drive partitions on internal hard drives.

The d:\$rRECTCLE.BIN folder is for the exclusive use of the system software and should not be accessed or modified in any way. The name of the folder and it's internal organization varies with the OS installed and is not publicly documented. File names and folders may not have their original names.

You should only access the recycle bin from the desktop, Windows Explorer, or similar utilities and never with the folder itself.
