Specs: Windows 7
I cant read some dvd's that was created about 3 months ago - I replaced the dvd about eighteen months ago - Th dvd is an HP DVDRAM SCSI GT50N

If you write CD-R/CD-RW DVD...etc. at maximum write-speed, changes are increasing your CD/DVD is not readable anymore in the near future.

The lower speed you write the CD/DVD the longer it will retain the DATA. This is from personal experience and from professional experience as well, where we had problems with factory produced (using writable CDs) installation CD's that became corrupt after a year or so. It is one of the reasons I don't use CD/DVDs anymore as backup media, not saying other media is fail-proof.

Be aware that writable DVD/CD will loose data gradually over time. So use more than one media to backup your data.
