No windows does not recognize it. I can't get in to change any of the file from read only if they are. I try to formatt and it stops and says can not complete. I know I have lost everything on it. I was sad but s^*t happens. Now I just want to be able to use it. I went to computer>drive H>properties>tools>and then tried to do it that way to see if it was corrupted and could not access. I got into it once and tried to move stuff out, but I couldn't move it. I've tried wiping the free space with ccleaner, I've tried recuva and I've looked at the volume and it says 0 on free space and 0 used space, but I can not open, I can not format. All of my other flash drives work just fine. Now what? I just want to re-format it, then I can run a recover or wipe it totally clean and re-use for something else. I had some great programs, but I was able to get the one off of it that I used the most, (well different program but same thing from giveawayoftheday.com...love that site!!!!) Would like to use it for something else now, that is why I tried to open in the first place. Any help would be great. other wise in the trash it goes. That would be really sad. would be perfect for movies to my TV. I have windows 7 and do know a little about computers, but this has me stumpted!

Okay I went to disk management, followed all the steps. It says it is healthy and working properly. But I can't format, can't open, can put anything on it. It keeps asking if I want to format. I changed the letter and tried to format, I also checked for errors , it states that it doesn't recognize or windows can't format check to see if it is installed properly. So I changed usb ports and did it again. still same thing. It states it is 100% free space and health and working in disk managment.....now what?
