hi
thanks for all the replies but finally resolved the issue. I googled the issue a bit more and found that IE10 update is known to cause this problem so I deleted the update and problem solved!

What happens when you try and upload the pics? What browser are you using? Is your Pop-up Blocker turned off?

Hi ishable,

As rightly suggested by "Jennifer", please check if the Pop-Up blocker is turned off.

Also, did you try using a different browser(Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox)?

Resetting the the browser using the link mentioned below may fix the issue:

"the "turn on pop-up blocker" box is ticked"

Both Jennifer and DellManshus told you to turn it off. Uncheck the pop-up blocker box.

if you read both correctly neither stated for me to turn it off.
I have now turned it off and still nothing has changed.

The sharing properties has nothing to do with uploading pics to FB or Ebay, sharing is for sharing the folder with other computers on your local network.

Are you sure there are actually pictures in the folder you are selecting? What format are the pictures, IE, jpeg, bmp, png, psd?

hi
the pictures are mainly Jpeg.
if I go to start, then pictures then there are plenty of my pics.
If I am on, say ebay and chose to upload a pic, browse, select pictures then my pics are not there.
It sounds quite simple but frustrating me
thanks.

Try putting one of the pics someplace else, in My Documents or on the Desktop for example, then try browsing to it thru eBay & see if it's there.

yes if I move a pic to the desktop or to my documents then I can upload.
for some reason it will not let me select my pictures in my folders?

Are you browsing to C:\users\your user name\pictures (or something similar to that)? I'm not using a Win7 computer right now so I'm not 100% sure of the location.

Hi ishable,

On the window where you select the pics, ensure that the file type is selected as "All Files". This may help you see the pics in the location you want to upload them from.

Let me know if that helps.
