Hpmini 210 hard disk error, drive beeps and can't test?

Specs: Windows 7 starter, Intel atom cpu n455 1.66ghz 1666mhz 1024mb
HPmini 210-3050NR windows 7 says hard disk error?
Please run the hard disk test in system diagnostics.
Hard disk (3F1)
F2 system diagnostics

When i hit system diagnostics, then hard disk test it says:
Primary hard disk self test
Quick test
Hard disk 1fault
(repeats those 3 lines)
Smart check to exit testing
Hard disk smart passed
Press esc to continue
--- what do I do? Nothing happens whatever I press and I'm stuck in this cycle!??

So, the test says hard disk 1 fault? Sounds like the drive is bad and it will need to be replaced.

Thank you for a reply. What would cause that? Bought this thing this Christmas! That's a whole 3 months?

Most likely the drive has developed bad blocks, all hard drive will fail eventually. If your computer is only 3 months old you still have a warranty, so you should be able to contact HP and have them replace the drive for you.

On a side note: I have seen a lot of Mini 210 hard drives fail, more than most. They are all the WD 250GB drives, but it maybe just me.
